At AWJ Woodwaste, woodchip production is central to what we do. Each year, we recycle thousands of tonnes of end-of-life timber, transforming it into high-quality woodchip for the biomass energy sector and the panel board industry.
Our process ensures consistent quality and reliability. Timber is sorted, then passed through a slow-speed shredder followed by a high-speed shredder. Metals are removed using magnets and an eddy current separator, leaving clean woodchip ready for its intended end use. This means our customers can rely on us for feedstock that meets strict industry specifications.
Every load is inspected before acceptance, and strict quality checks are in place at every stage of processing. This helps ensure only suitable feedstock enters our woodchip production line, giving customers confidence in both performance and compliance.
By maximising recovery and recycling, we provide sustainable, reliable solutions for all timber processed - helping reduce landfill, supporting renewable energy, and supplying raw material for new products in the circular economy.
