Grade B wood waste, also known as industrial wood waste, is a mix of treated and non-hazardous materials used in industrial applications. It includes solid softwood and hardwood, construction and demolition timber, and solid wood furniture, with up to 5-10% panel products such as MDF, chipboard, or plywood.

It may contain nails, metal fixings and small amounts of non-wood materials including paints, plastics, coatings, and glues, within limits set by end users and the Industrial Emissions Directive (IED).
